B. OPEN CIRCUIT LOCATOR - The Open Circuit Locator (OCL) is used to provide the User with information concerning the physical location of a continuity failure in the cable assembly being tested.  For example, once a continuity test fails, the User can invoke the OCL, enter the two addresses in question, and determine whether the open exists near one connector, near the other connector, near the middle of the cable, two feet from one of the connectors, etc. Read more....
